On April 7-9, we organized a youth conference together with Livets Ord Youth from Uppsala, Sweden. The theme of the conference was Resurrection. The youth conference gathered about 250 young people from different places in Norway and Sweden. We would like to thank all the staff and volunteers for a brilliant effort, the conference would never have been so good without you! Thanks also to the team from Livets Ord Youth!
The conference started on Friday with a morning meeting, where Kim Ruben Borgsø spoke. You could feel an expectation in the air – God was moving. Rune Borgsø spoke at the evening meeting. At the end of his sermon, he received several words of knowledge and started praying for the young people. God’s presence came powerfully, and the youth experienced healing from inner wounds and freedom from heavy burdens. God came with breakthrough power that night, which created a lot of joy and freedom for the rest of the conference.
On Saturday we had a morning meeting with Nahom Zenawi speaking about our identity in Christ as raised with Him. During the day, we filled two full buses and drove to Asker city center where we evangelized. There, the youth got to share their faith with people, and five people accepted Jesus on the street! Kenofi Terfa preached at the evening meeting, and we experienced that God came with a kiss from heaven. Many of the young people in the room received a personal touch from God that evening, and lives were transformed.
At the conference, young people were set free from anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, eating disorders, self-harm, and baptized in the Holy Spirit. Jesus brought life and renewal into people’s lives!
On Sunday, we had the finale meeting together with the whole congregation, where Raymond Urne spoke. This Sunday was a meeting filled with joy and gratitude for all that Jesus had done at the conference. Many lives were transformed and the youth left Asker as new people.
We hope to repeat the conference next year!
